SKIPPY® Bacon Peanut Butter Burger

Everyone's had a bacon cheeseburger, but not everyone has discovered the magic of adding peanut butter. SKIPPY® Bacon Peanut Butter Burger brings an unexpected delight to an already loved classic.

Ingredients

  • 455g (1lb) ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 115g mature cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 135g SKIPPY® Smooth Peanut Butter
  • 340g maple-cured bacon
  • 4 wholemeal burger buns, split and toasted

Directions

  1. Prepare the barbecue to a medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the beef, salt and pepper; mix gently. Form the beef into 4 burgers; barbecue until cooked to the desired point. Top each burger with 2 slices of cheese, if desired.
  3. In a microwaveable bowl, microwave the peanut butter for 30 seconds.
  4. Place the burgers on the bottom halves of the buns. Generously spread warm peanut butter on each. Top with 2 to 4 slices of bacon; cover with the top halves of the buns.
